Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're used for things like remembering choices you've made, understanding how a site is used, and, on many sites, supporting advertising. This page also covers similar technologies used on trundlepaw.com, such as your browser's local storage.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Necessary. A small piece of information is stored in your browser's local storage to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner (accept or reject non-essential cookies), so you're not asked again on every page.
Analytics. TrundlePaw uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the Site — for example, roughly how much traffic comes from search and which pages are read. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for this purpose.
Advertising. TrundlePaw does not currently display any advertising, so no advertising cookies are set today. If Google AdSense is introduced in the future, this section will be updated to name the specific cookies used and to reflect the consent mechanism described in Section 3.
3. Your Consent Choices
The cookie banner shown on the Site today lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies and remembers your choice on this device. It is a simple, first-party notice rather than a certified consent management platform (CMP). TrundlePaw plans to replace it with a certified CMP in the near future, consistent with Google's requirements for the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Once that CMP is in place, this page will be updated to describe it, and any analytics or advertising cookies that require your consent in those regions will only be set after you provide it.
Until then, you can also control cookies directly through your browser settings — see Section 5.
4. Third-Party Cookies
The following third parties may set cookies through the Site:
- Google Analytics — analytics cookies, as described above.
- Google AdSense — not currently active on the Site; this entry will be updated with detail if and when advertising is introduced.
Netlify and Cloudflare, which host and deliver the Site, may also use cookies or similar technologies as part of operating and securing it. Please refer to Netlify's and Cloudflare's own cookie and privacy policies for what they set independently of TrundlePaw.
5. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
In addition to the on-site banner, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and offer a private/incognito mode that doesn't retain cookies after you close the window. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the Site behave.
